Say it needs rotors and pads. What am I looking at?
Taking it to the shop. Not doing it myself.
TIA

Just get your quote upfront and don't get screwed like that guy who posted here a couple weeks ago

Probably 500+ is what they will charge. It is an hour job at a shop, 2 hours in your driveway.

rotors already? is it grinding or wearing pads quickly? or are you just going off of their recommendation?

There's no squealing noise but it feels like a grinding when I hit the brakes. Didn't get an recommendation. Just going off what I think needs to be done

I dunno about a Mazda 6, but an Audi RS7 runs about $2600 for 4 pads and rotors!! (Just had them done).

Go to an auto parts store and get your own parts then take it to get them put on. Should be an hours worth of labor.
You will have no warranty at the shop, but you will have one through the parts house.

Wow, didn't those cars just come out in 2013? do you drive in traffic every day?

rockauto has the pads and rotors for $107 shipped. Ceramic pads and OE rotors.
If you have the tools and knowledge to do them yourself you will save about $400-$500.

It should run around $250 depending on the quality of the pads. Add around $150for the rotors.
There is a wide range of pads that can be bought costing as little as $30 to around $100 just for the pads themselves. Remember, you get what you pay for.. If you get the cheapest you can find, it may make noise, and will not last as long as a good quality set that will cost just a few more $.
What is the problem with Chabill's? I have not had a problem with my dealings with them and they always have qualified techs to do the work.

I'm gonna guess $7-900
$100 per rotor
$65 for each set of pads
$150 for labor
Round about guess
Eta: You will not be able to buy your own stuff and bring it somewhere for them to put on. Shops typically mark up parts 50-100%

We can go buy the parts for it then I'll do it for you at the AutoZone parking lot. Give me 200 dollars and a few hours and I'll have it done. Email me bro

Cars never use to need rotors turned or even new rotors as often as I read about today. Thats about 1 1/2 labor...... not sure on parts.
