None. I invest a few million each for family and friends and have the dividends deposited into their accounts. Everyone else I tell to frick off.

I invest the rest of my money minus $10 million I keep in money market in case the economy goes to shite again. I live off of the dividends.

I spend the rest of my life traveling with a few of my friends.

ETA: I know the chances of winning are slim, but I bought 10 tickets so that brings the odds down to about 1,000:1.

I'm guessing I distribute around $100 million to family.

What the frick for?

I would literally give my mother no more than 2 million dollars. Close Aunt 1 million, we are talking 500k or less for everyone else.

They don't need that kind of money just given to them.

With the exception of a few family members, I would keep all of it. I would use it to dump money into investment accounts, savings account, trust fund to pay myself a salary and start my own business. My extended family hasn't been around for me growing up. What makes them entitled to the money?

The lump sum is like $450 million after taxes according to the lottery office this morning on the news.

I'd probably end up giving $50+ million away to charity in one way or another. If I do thought it would be in things I'm 99-100% sure are legit and in ways that I can get my hands dirty I'm an inconspicuous way.

Then I'd:

-give $10 million to each of my parents

-set up college funds for all my neices/nephews

-pay off the lawyers in cash who would do everything on gods green earth to make sure i got my money anonymously as possible.

-pay off my loans for med school

-get a nice chevy Colorado or something like that

- invest 95% of the rest somehow in a way that' has long term/reliable gains

-love comfortably off the 5% remaining in a modest place (on lots of land that I OWN) while I finish school and then work the rest of my life in a field I love without having to worry about money.

PS: give a chunk to LSU under the explicit terms that they name something cool after me with legal documents saying it can't be changed/altered/obstructed in any way for the forseable future (kind of an FU to certain people that work in the 'school government' tried to screw me personally)

44 million dollars to your church...? I am not sure they need 44 million dollars...

44 million dollars to charity...? Eh... Why not start your own so that you know that money won't be wasted.

88 million to your family...? Jesus man...

You started out with 443 and you're already on your way to being poor.

I know how cool you sound, and you are cool.

But it is entertainment. A few bucks aint gonna kill me if i want to play. The chance of winning the trip of going to the chocolate factory is fun in itself for many people.

This is why if you are not a family member to someone you are their enemy.

There is no middle ground.

I dont know if I trust charities to spend the money wisely. Cancer and disease research I could probably do. I mean I only have a 100+ million after taxes. Im going to need 3 multi million dollar homes, a leer jet, gold plated 34s on my vehicles. I only have so much to go around.

Parents would immediately retire.

I'd set up a joint account with me and my mother in which a DRIP backs it. All dividends would be rolled into that account.

I'd give my brother 10 million. Followed by having him be the sole benefactor if I were to die (I have no children).

10 million splurge account.

50 million in assorted DRIPS
50 million in Vanguard Mutual funds
50 million in Real Estate

The gains from the 100 mil combined in DRIP/R.Estate will be my "salary" until the day I die.
