A girl my wife went to HS with died from a heroin OD about 10-15 years ago. They'd been close in schools but had drifted apart after graduation. There was a lot of speculation she did it on purpose but nobody knows for sure. She was dead a couple days before hey found her. Left behind a baby. Very sad.

(Just out of curiosity, what about that post warrants a downvote other than to be a douchebag?)

Zero monotony and keeps you on your toes for sure.

I really enjoyed it for years. The action fits me.

I can accept that sometimes shite happens, but it isn’t impossible not to associate with druggie criminals.

I, nor any of my good friends have ever done anything other than drink. A few have occasionally smoked a cigarette, to be cool back in the day, but none of them have even tried weed much less hardcore drugs.

I have a cousin, out of the 27 first cousins i have, who i rarely ever see b/c he doesn't live that close to me, that was into drugs for a while, but he's sober now. I can't control who i'm related to, but i can control who i call a friend and who i hang out with.

Of course everyone knows people from high school that was or still is into drugs. I still have guys i call friends that have smoked weed, a few of those have dabbled in something stupid like X and they quickly realized they weren't druggies so didn't do that again. and i could really care less about weed. I think it's stupid that it's illegal. But those guys aren't who i would call a close friend, and not people i would call at any point to catch up or hang out or anything, but i enjoy seeing them occasionally and have no problem hanging out with them today if we happen to be at the same place randomly. None of them have done something like heroin.

Of those two groups, we are all friends, probably about 30 of us. We separated easily after high school, the guys that smoked weed and the guys that didn't. The guys that didn't' are the ones that went to LSU and actually graduated, and that's who my good friends are, outside of 3 that didn't make it at LSU b/c they were too dumb and lazy.

I can probably guess as to who the hardcore drug guys from my school are, and the odds of me ever seeing them, even randomly are slim, and if i did, i'd likely not even acknowledge them unless they approached me, and that's not b/c i'm trying to avoid them, but b/c i was never close to calling them a friend in high school, so we literally have nothing in common other than the fact that we went to the same school 15+ years ago.

A lot of conflict and I know I'm not the best at that. Either completely avoid it or want to completely end it. No in between
