Yep, I even did this when your student number was your Social Security # and you gave that number to anyone and everyone and it was printed on all your documents.

If I remember right, they busted someone for stealing social security numbers in the early 90's. Turns out he would get them from outside classrooms where teachers posted grades for exams by using SSN. It was the first hint that "identity theft" was a thing.

It was best to find a phone on campus to use when the system went live at midnight - off campus took forever to get through (with hundreds of redials).

That bank of Phones at the bottom of the Union was popular. Students would line up there hours before midnight for registration.

My first couple of years I used Reggie. What was fun was not getting in until 2am and being drunk and having a nice surprise on the classes you registered for.

Listening to the busy tone and hitting redial nonstop for hours until you finally get through just to find out most of the class sections you dial in are full. Good times.

I was at LSU during the transition from cards to Reggie. Both worked well for me.

Early 90's and we were friends with a guy a couple of years older than us. He was friends with a guy that had access to another phone number for Reggie. That number was secret, but he programmed it in my buddies apartment phone. While we didn't know the number actual number, we had access to the number to call and bypass the main line. It was awesome.

I fricked a chick named Reggie in Albuquerque the summer of 97. I was a current LSU student.

I started LSU in fall of 1991. Yes, I was down with OPP.

There was a building on campus next to the journalism building that had a phone in the lobby. On campus phones would get through easier. A few frat bros and I would use it to register. It was awesome.

PAWS was in full affect for registration, but we still used reggie to check finals scores. Was always at the deer camp or fishing camp after finals with mo internet, so I would call in to find out.
