I absolutely love it. I would welcome a more diverse pool of presidents because it would be more representative of the great democracy we live in!

Sorry guys, there's a place for women, gays, and minorities in our govt. Being a rich white Protestant male isn't a requirement anymore.

Man, your schtick is beyond old and boring. Sounds like you'd be happier somewhere else.

Who were our three gay presidents?

It sounds like several posters believe James Buchanan was. The OP apparently knows something about Lincoln that isn't taught in history class. Who's the third?

I remember hearing something about William Howard Taft stuck in a bathtub and a gallon of butter being used to help extricate him, but that's more kinky than gay.

The more important question is when we will have an openly gay President? Four years ago, I would have said "in one hundred years." But, given the rise of openly gay politicians in both parties, I'm thinking in forty years.

The right loves these personal attacks. President Obama is "muslim," "gay", an "illegal immigrant" while Hillary Clinton is "fat," "has cankles," or is "ugly."

But, when you have no ammunition, you have to fire what you have. These are weak salvos.

Just cause he doesn't prance around coked up in a Donald Duck suit doesn't mean he isn't gay, heather...

Dude was very open sexually as a young adult and was caught pitching in a Chicago dem fundraiser back in the early 90s...

Just because he doesn't meet your fantasy stylist version of gay, doesn't mean he isn't.

I'm sure there are very solid sources for those ridiculous stories passed around by small, petty political opponents who naturally hate him.

Dude are you signing the end of each post like it's a letter? That's kinda classy. Mind if I borrow that?

Nobody cares that he's gay, but he is...Larry Sinclair, Democrat from chi town is no a right wing "hit piece", he was Obama's "hit piece

Chicago columnist Dujan pretty much regards it as a matter of fact, Obama used to prowl the gay bars and fitness clubs on weeknights.

Shake your head all that you want, but you know I am correct.

There are tons of people that on the surface pretend to be OK with certain issues for many reasons like peer pressure and wanting to fit in.

Once they are in private though, like a voting booth, they don't have to keep up the charade.

I would venture to say there are tons of people that claimed to vote for Obama to fit in but actually didn't. It's just the nature of some.

what is social security reform?

what tax code reform do you propose? be specific.

which powers do you give up from the W.H.?

Partial privatization option for all taxpayers under the age of 40 with associated reduction in non- privatized benefits. Full benefit age gradually moved to 70. More narrow definition of fully disabled for SSDI.

Ideally, flat tax at 18% for income, corporate, and capital gains. But would settle for reduction of overall tax categories for personal income and reduction of corporate tax rate to 20%.

Congressional amendment to narrowly define the criteria for executive orders and elimination of the Dept. of education. That's at least a start.

Oh, and I'd love for someone to push for rescinding the 17th Amendment.

People were saying (hoping for) the same thing about electing a black president. "Once people get into the booths, away from other people, they'll go with the comfortable, familiar option." Obama won by the largest margin in a while.

In Houston, meanwhile, the fourth largest city in the country, in the super liberal state of Texas, a lesbian has been elected mayor for the last three terms.

I give people more credit than you for evolving and thinking more rationally.
