Last movie I saw we got there a little late and I ended up just ordering at the bar in the lobby. The food came out faster than it normally would.

There's a call button on your tray and they come to you discreetly.

wait so, we have people wandering around discussing food/drink orders while the movie is going on?

It's a row of seats and a little table. They take order before show and you write additional beers on a piece of paper as you need. The servers crouch and whisper the whole time. It's never been a problem for me. The problem is for folks trying to DRANK and them not getting there fast enough. Again if you get 4 beers you are lucky. But that's 4 in 90 minutes. It's not a keg party.

i like the idea of beer and movies. wonder how this works out with some of the more "violent" movies?

IPIC for the win

THIS. IPIC blows any competition out of the water. Great service, great food. Comfortable plush reclining seats with blanket and pillow service. Free valet parking. Place is super nice and upscale. Bar and restaurant inside are also very upscale and nice as well. I've hung out for drinks alone at the bar and have gone to their restaurant before by itself. Tickets are $25 for premium plus services but well worth it.

Houston just got a location opened a few months ago...I bet it's really nice.

Food was pretty OK the time I went. Like posters said, it's Chili's quality. The service was a little rocky, think they're understaffed/employees don't know what they're doing. I didn't give a shite, I was all about drinking a few beers and watching The Martian on a Friday afternoon. But the fat guy with the fat wife in front of me was MAD.

Seats are incredible and being able to reserve tickets and seats ahead of a time is a huge plus.

Food is average. Applebee's level. Some things are better than others. GF and I have been 3 times now and it's our go-to theater, regardless if we get food.

First two times the service was atrocious but the last time (about a week ago for Krampus) it was a very pleasant experience. Service was very much improved.

To be completely honest - I don't think I'll go see a movie anywhere else from now on. Reserve seating, better beer and food options, plus if I want to go solo during the day the place is empty.

Go eat in the restaurant right inside before going inside the actual theater.

Get inside the theater at least 35-40 minutes early if ordering ANYTHING.

Seats are awesome
Price is good
Popcorn great

I went a month after it opened and it was the worst service industry experience I've ever had.

Glad to hear it's getting better.

Just to reiterate what others have said:

Seats are awesome and worth the price of admission alone.
Food was decent quality and I didn't feel like it was any ripping me off for what I got.
Service was very questionable. Our drinks were given to the couple in front of us by mistake, and after 30 minutes I finally had to leave the theater to get someone to get them for us. But they ended up giving them to us free of charge.

If they can get their service up to snuff, it'll be fantastic.

Will they be prepared for next Thurs/Friday and so on, for Star Wars? Thursday will be my first time there as well. Definitely going to go there fairly early, based on what I'm seeing here.
