As far as I know we're still signing new deals and still working on projects. I've got the sinking feeling I'm totally fricked now. Just as I've started to hit my stride in my career.

We may not build anything new for decades.

We have pretty much at a stand still in regards to new work. We have some things already scheduled that we are continuing to work on and scheduling to begin, but once those projects are finished idk what will happen.

Have a relative who owns an electrical company. He's had several big customers put projects on hold. They simply don't have the money coming in to pay for them.

We're at the start of a fairly large industrial/civil job here in surrounding BR, but I'm a little concerned about the latter half of the year once we finish this current project.

It is not looking good and getting worse daily, IMO.

I am not concerned about the COVID-19 as much as I am about the price of crude oil. $25/ barrel of oil is going to wreak havoc on the state of LA.

Might have to get a real job instead of sitting on your arse in a jobsite trailer all day

As of right now we are still going strong. Three things are going to hurt our field guys in the near future though:

1) Inability to get permits to start work
2) Inability to get inspections to continue work
3) Customer's budget being screwed by the shut downs forcing us to lose work

I had inspections in Livingston and Ascension pass today. Talked to one of the inspectors, they said they’re still rolling until told otherwise by State or Fed.

Agreed. There's still time, but we're running out.

Good news for me is while I'm located in NOLA I've only had one Louisiana project in the 2 years I've worked here. All others have been in the Southeast region of the country.

the RFQ's from Performance, Turner, Cajun, and the rest of the contractors have been flying in this week. I guess they're trying to get everything lined up.

I work in an engineering office in BR. We design M & E Systems for commercial buildings. Our project list is long and all overtime has been approved. Who knows when bid dates start to get pushed back tho, not yet.

I have been busier than ever this week. Doesn't seem to be slowing down. Public projects are still bidding.

I was supposed to hire in to a nuke Monday but they postponed and went to only essential personnel. Just left a refinery in Ohio so I need some time home anyways. But from what my business manager says there's still a lot of work out there.

What happens on projects like the Four Seasons in Dow town NOLA? They have already spent a bunch of money and still have a lot of work to do to complete the renovation. Do they pull the plug and mothballs the project?
