Most of them also live in conditions that most Americans would not (for better or worse).

Seriously? Half these people can't wipe their own arse because of various debilitating mental illnesses.

Sell their food stamps to buy alcohol and drugs. Too fricking lazy to go to food banks or local church. Just like Obamacare. Give frickers free insurance with free meds and they still don't come in or take meds unless it's narcotics or weight loss. 98% of poor people are poor because they make shitty decisions, have shitty work ethics, are irresponsible and mostly fricking worthless. Like Ron White said,"You can't fix stupid."

Not true. Most are just worthless arse people that are hooked on drugs and/or alcohol.

Now you're getting pretty expensive, though

ramen is $0.18 per pack. chicken is $1.99/lb boneless skinless chicken breast.

pound of chicken = ~350-400 calories and ~44g protein
3 packs of ramen = ~1200 calories

$2.53/day. it may get old but it will easily keep you alive. with the extra $0.75/day buy some spices and other things to dress your food up. hell, i've seen some pretty cool ramen recipes..lasagna etc.

If someone is hungry, my beliefs tell me to feed them. I've rarely been asked by someone for food. Money often but rarely has anyone come to me and said can you please buy me a burger.

what about the people have to do that for their kids as well?

They chose to have kids without an income to support kids. A condom would have been a better investment.

With that title, I thought this was gonna be about corn

80,000,000 acres of the stuff.

330+ million tonnes of it. Only ~11% of it gets used for food here and that's already around 260 lbs a year per person in America.

If I were homeless I would make my way to the Midwest and live next to a farm.
You could easily steal enough food off a farm to live an nobody would even notice unless they caught you doing it
