Would you call it grilling? BBQ'ing?

Something else?

And where are you from

I say bbq'ing

from south LA

ETA: In short, would you ever say bbq'ing at all? As in

"He was bar-b-qing some ribs"

cooking fast i.e. steaks = grilling

Cooking slow i.e. pork butt = bbq

If I'm grilling, I say I'm grilling. If I'm BBQ'ing, I say I'm BBQ'ing

Grilling is short stuff that women can do like hot dogs.

Smoking is an all day affair, brisket and such.

And BBQ is not a verb.
