Paige having a long "driveway" is part of the problem.

Reading through this it amazes me how many people get upset over people parked in the street. Why?

That might work. White car will have to be really careful but is the best driver

Park in the street or yard but I don't live where there is an HOA with a stick up their arse about every single thing.

I know the OT loves to declare things trashy but there really is nothing as trashy as parking a car in the yard. Please don't start parking on the grass. Just find an option that doesn't involve that.

Park horizontally instead of vertical. No one has to be behind anyone.

So when you drive into a neighborhood that you have never been in before and you see a lot of cars parked on the street, stacked up in the driveways and maybe even one or two in the yards...what is your first impression of that neighborhood? Would you want to invest your money and buy a home there?

Plus, you don't want to hit some POS sitting in the road as you are trying to back out of your own driveway.

I enjoy the fact that my HOA does not allow cars to be parked on the street. It improves the overall aesthetics of the 'hood and thus the overall value of the homes there.

I agree. I lived on my own forever and never thought I could live with my mom again. But it's going well. Everyone has their own room and my mom and step dad really appreciate me being here. My mom has been having to work a lot lately and I'm able to cook dinner and clean and help with the kids

It's not permanent and for now it's working. So I'm not stressing myself out about it

You should ask her to pay your phone bill while you're at it.

I don't understand this either. People park on the street in my neighborhood all the time. As long as your car is facing the right way no one cares.

And this isn't some horrible neighborhood either. It's a nice neighborhood.

I've never seen a car parked on this street. It's not a common occurrence in neighborhoods here. Also weaving in between cars parked on the side of the road can be a nuisance

Plus my stepdad said it's not happening

Most people in our neighborhood park in their driveway, even the folks with more than 2 drivers. When people are having a party, that's one thing but it's generally not done. IDK if it's an HOA rule tho.

But a nearby neighborhood that we have to drive thru has curvy streets, and people park in the street all the time. On the curves, no less. So numerous times you're having to weave thru these a-holes while people coming from the opposite direction aren't paying attention and are just barreling thru. I guess driving rules for cars parked on streets isn't covered in driver's ed?

BUT... Street parking > grass parking all day.
