Crushed is better. It's actually nice when the crusher passes through some big chunks as well. Then you get instant cooldown, the option to chew some ice if you'd like, and some big chunks to keep the beverage cold for a while.

Crushed... mostly.
But right now, I'm pissed at my icemaker. For some odd reason, it all freezes together in the cup after I dispense it (Either cubed OR crushed) into one big mass. It didn't use to do that. Not sure what's up.

I've heard the ice balls are the way to go for the alcoholic beverages, but have never tried them.
