This describes cool. A cool guy stands up for the underdog and is never a bully. A cool guy is nice to those that deserve it and indifferent to those that don't. He gives not a single shite about who they are, what they wear, or anything else other than their individual merits.
A cool person doesn't sweat trivial bullshite and is his own man. Sounds to me like your kid is cool. Maybe not popular, but cool.

The OP asked how you get cool. He said his child shows no concern when other kids approach/talk.
Maybe I took it wrong, sounded like his kid was being an arse. I didnt even read it as he could just be shy. That is my bad if true.

Seriously, thanks for the insight. I never realized he may be shy. Truthfully I think that is a big part of his public persona that I have been missing, because I am not shy at all.

look man, talk to your kid, A LOT, ask him 1000 questions, he may only answer 5 of them but at least he will know you care.....he will know that when he really wants you to know something you will listen.
