Spray her with cold water. She hates it and it's much more humane than physical violence.

I used to use the same saying accompanied by a good pop on the butt.

I'd say "did you do this" or something similar, after a while all I had to do was say the line and my dog would know he messed up and I didn't have to whip him.

I just sit the dog down and explain what the dog did that I didn't like and tell the dog not to do it again.

All I do is get Mr. Newspaper in my hand and all badness stops. :lol. Just the noise scares them.

Eh, I don't have to very often. Usually just a stern word and he pouts and lays in the corner.

He's a rescue so picking up a stick or anything makes him cower, so I don't have the heart to pop him unless it is really bad.

Stern voice and pointing. Dogs know when youre angry, so beating them is usually not necessary.

Corner him and stand over him aggresively until he submits.

Rolled up newspaper does the job. Mild corporal punishment with newspaper combined with stern talk early in dog's life leaves a lasting impression. Undesirable behavior stops now when I pick up newspaper and slap it into my palm.

Well last night when he pissed in the floor, it puddled up, so I stuck his face in it and he got to suck it up through his nose, then he spent the rest of the night in the kennel. He's been a pretty good puppy ever since that today. We'll see how it progresses.

I used to try to pop my old dog with a newspaper, but he would turn around and tear the paper to shreds.

With words. My dog is super intelligent.

My dog knows what's up gauged by my tone.
She also knows when she did bad.

Like when here and the cat teamed up to take down a possum and then both rolled around in it's blood.

I thought my pets were the evil animals from southpark.

Well, I can't speak for all humans but my human has treated me like his four legged daughter since I was only six weeks old and I'm 10 now. Do the math...you humans know what that means in dog years.
Anyway, my master always simply talked with me alot and along with different tones of his voice and sometimes a stern finger tapping on my nose, I seemed to understand him. Sure I had accidents when I was young but my master would just make me smell it and say sternly "No...No!". I know lots of words and can even spell...especially the word "treat". My master swatted me on the rear end a few times but never too hard and I'm a very smart, spoiled little Shih Tzu and I love my home and my Master.

I hope you're trolling. all this does is get your dog's nose wet then teach it that his kennel is a bad place.

this is one of the things most dog trainers will burn into you head NEVER to do. rubbing its nose in it achieves NOTHING.

teaching your dog that his kennel is anything but a sanctuary or "wolf den" is the worst thing you can do.
