“Well yeah we won 2/3 of our games against ranked opponents, but this was the first A&M team to ever lose a season opener at an Air Force base in Germany on an even numbered day, fire Kennedy” -future CGSC...

re: I'm curious how the Ark will react if we go 9-3 but the final loss is a blowout to LSU? - Projectpat
Somehow we have people convinced there are circumstances where a coach that blew a 34 point lead should keep his job.
Pretty sure you believe there are too, you're just disagreeing with some on where the line between fire and keep is....

Hell hath no fury like a lover scorned. Ole Miss should have just apologized, now they’re back to doormat status. Too bad....

What’s kind of scary if you think about it, if we had held on and beaten UCLA, we’d be a top 15 team. Squeaking out that win vs UF on the back of four FGs but with a high ranking next to our name....the fanbase’s reaction would have been full meltdown....

re: Our offense is so fricking bad - Projectpat
I should have turned it off. Not only is her voice just unpleasant, but she obviously has no idea what she's talking about, just throws out generic terms. There will multiple times were neither her nor the color guy had any idea what was going on i.e. they were commenting the whole time as if a call...

Starkel’s available? - Projectpat
They’ve said a few times on Gameday that Starkel is available. I’m assuming we play Mond the whole time and don’t aggy this by trying to play a 2 QB game again, right?....right?...

re: Aggy Board OT Discussion Thread - Projectpat
 This topic seems to have hit a nerve. I’m all weirded out since you’re usually the closest in opinion to me around these parts. We’re all free to define/compartmentalize music however we see fit. Let’s just leave it at that....
rap, Country music, and rock lyrics share the same message
Not always but a lot of times, yes. How about “partying and drinking are fun?” I’d say that’s a fairly universal lyrical topic....

re: Aggy Board OT Discussion Thread - Projectpat
Again, based on style, not on the topic of the lyrics. Do specific styles of music often have the same lyrical topic? Yes but not always and the lyrics don’t define the genre. I think that’s an important point. People aren’t thinking “I’m only going to listen to music about pickup trucks and whiskey...

re: Aggy Board OT Discussion Thread - Projectpat
I really wasn’t trying to reignite this debate  Thanks AggieDub for making my point more eloquently than I was. Christian music is marketed to people who only want to listen to music with lyrics about faith. If an artist has faith based lyrics but their music is good enough to be consumed by...

re: Aggy Board OT Discussion Thread - Projectpat
That’s if you’re assuming Christian is a genre. I don’t think it is or should be considered a genre. It’s like calling Taylor Swift “break up” music. Genre is style, not lyrical content. Making it a separate genre isolates the message, preaching to the choir you might say. If artists focus on the...

re: Aggy Board OT Discussion Thread - Projectpat
My argument was that if an artist bills themselves as a “Christian” artist, then they’re not good by default. If they’re any good, they should just be able to bill themselves by genre (rock, rap, country, etc) but have Christian lyrics. Anyways, the whole Magic & Bird album is sick, I can’t belie...

re: Aggy Board OT Discussion Thread - Projectpat
Tbird, I once argued with you that if any music artists have to advertise themselves as Christian they're terrible by default. I'm not sure that they truly advertise themselves as "Christian rappers," but the Magic & Bird album is sick, so I'll half eat crow: [link=(https://youtu.be/qyJ7HfL14sI?t...
