I went to an event there a couple of years back where people my age were supposed to be there. It still felt so weird and wrong that I couldn't even enjoy it. All the people approving of this can't grasp how creepy it is for a dude twice every girls age to be hanging out in there.

I don't dance unless asked by young girls. Otherwise, I just creep in the clubs until closing time.......

What are the chances of a normal looking 40 year old dude to get laid in Fred's? Just a guy who's drunk after the game and doesn't want to go home. Besides the fact that he's in Fred's at 40, no other real creepster vibe. If he does this after every home game, you think he's got a shot at getting laid once a season by a IRL 6? Once every other season? Trying to plan whether I should get season tickets again when I get a little older.

Part of getting older is listening to children who can't pay the light bill without making a call to Mommy and Daddy, lecture Mommy and Daddy about how the world works. "You can't dance at Fred's Dad, it violates social convention and makes me uncomfortable. Plus cargo short and 230 lbs and bald is no way to go through life". But Daddy might not give a frick because that's what age does to you. It's a beautiful thing really. It's how life gives you something new, even as it strips away other things. It's why old people are much happier. They just DGAF.

So more power to the guy.

No need to wait til 50. I stopped giving a frick what people thought long ago. It makes life so much more fun.

he probably dropped $30 on drinks and brought home a 21 year old or two while you and your friends walked home by yourselves talking about how much of a loser that guy is.

So you were at Freds, 20 minutes to close on a game night. You were not trying to get a chick to come home with you or hammering shots and ordering three more beers at last call.

Instead, you were on your phone, posting on an anonymous message board about an older man you were staring at?

I enjoyed the shite out of Fred's in my early 20's, laying the foundation for you sniveling kids today.

Be thankful for those who went before and maybe the drinks are on me next time.

Well, as a 58 year old that frequents music shows alone, I'll play along.

The Wife likes Billy Joel and Elton John. I like Robert Earl Keen, AA, Turnpike, Greensky Bluegrass, Cowboy Mouth and Flow Tribe.

She likes a seat with a ticket. I like to stand 4 or 5 rows from the stage.

She likes arenas, Sanger-type theaters. I like a bar, a stage and a bathroom.

She says for me to go, just don't make her go with me. We've been happily married since 1979.

So, when the OP is closing in on 60, I hope he has made enough good decisions to live the life Lithium and I enjoy today.

to us, Lith.
