If you can, try and move into those small houses right in the downtown area. My buddies used to live in one of those and they just moved out. Many fun nights at that place.

Other than maybe two streets on the west side and the entire east side, Houma is pretty safe, no?

dont move to most of downtown between hollywood and the historical part as far as living... and ALL of the east side pretty much stay away from completely.. i wouldn't even consider the east side a real place. its literally the a-hole of america.

Also, if you have a camp list that as your residence and just get another placd in New Orleans.

If you are on call 24/7 you might as well not worry about where you live anyway.

Yea the downtown area can be a little sketchy at times. But those houses across park, in the bar rouselle area are pretty nice.

It isn't bad but there isn't much in the way of activities outside of hunting and fishing. People are good for the most part. East side isn't great but if you've been in a metropolitan area it isn't that bad.

True, but the east side has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, aside from authentic mexican food, rat droppings and all..

They're all from the area too..

Houma kids in high school: "Man I can't wait to get out of Houma and be free!"

Where you going to college?

"Nicholls.."

There are some pretty girls down here. One good thing about down here is to get in on some property. You really have to make a bad decision and not make money.

I've been going down there for 8+ years and have seen 20 maybe. I don't go much further east after 56 for the most part though.

Are you from Houma? What school did you go to?

I'd imagine I probably know you

This is what I was thinking. Especially if his work is in the northern part of Houma. Worst case, live in Metairie.

Nah Jose is just a nickname. My real name is pretty similar to it

Are you really a medic? Bc I used to work at one of the local ERs before I came down to medical school, so I would imagine I may have run into you there
