Wow, seems like someone didn’t completely think that out....

Who didn’t see that happening...?

This aspect needs to be better explained.

This doesn’t look like an HOA opened it’s amenities to the public. This appears to be a mixed income development. The story seems to simply reflect buyers remorse. Sometimes paying townhome prices in a gated community has some drawbacks.

Apparently this neighborhood's residents are like 80% veterans. You got a problem with American heroes, commie?

This happened to the apartment I lived at in Louisville. It was brand new and had really nice amenities such as a saltwater pool with cabanas and a slide... that you didn't need any kind of key to access.

About 3 months later they finally issued keys to the residents and hired private security because people were dropping their kids off at the pool as if it were a daycare, and tons of people who didn't even live there were using the pool/cabanas, gym, grills, car wash port, and more. The pool would be way past capacity with rap music being blasted, weed being smoked and alcohol being consumed(even though no alcohol or smoking was allowed at the pool)

After the keys went out, it was 100 times better and I could actually use the pool.

I saw a couple of the really nice young men helping each other out. One was knocking a fly off the others head, and one was giving his friend chest compressions, though they were a little high.

Uncivilized animals. There’s a certain demographic that will never be able to live in a civilized world.

It appears from the video, at least, that the neighborhood is pretty diverse. I have no idea why someone would invite a bunch of hood rats into their community. That was epically stupid.

Yep. First guy interviewed was black and he wasn’t having the that shite that was on the video. The neighborhood residents are lucky that it seems to be diverse, because they have a chance of fixing the issue now.

Why would you pay for something as an HOA due, then allow people that don’t pay for it to use it?

Not a mixed income development. A large subdivision with a pretty high HOA fee from what I understand. I think on the low end the homes start in the 300s, which combined with the area taxes amounts to a decent mortgage payment.

What I gather from people at work that live there is that the developer still controls the HOA (POA?) board and opened up the events to generate money, under the guise of marketing the neighborhood.

Important lesson to take from this... don't be the first to buy into a new development, be one of the last.

We just need more amenities programs to show these youth how to behave
