Sorry haters but Houston is on a roll

Houston is not pretty, but it thrives. In the decade to 2010, the population of its metro area grew more than that of any other American city. Between 2009 and 2013 its real GDP increased by 22%, more than twice as fast as the American economy as a whole.

Nice job omitting 2014, especially last quarter 2014, when oil prices went to shite and Houston laid off thousands of workers.

That's because anyone trying to go East would hit the construction in Orange and just turn around and go back.

Thanks again for taking in the NOLA refuges with open arms and allow them to settle in Houston.

Is this the thread were plebs from various insignificant cesspools express their jealousy and inferiority toward our nation's fourth largest city, the world's energy capital?

So there was a net job loss in Houston during whatever time period we are talking about? The link didn't work for me, so I am just trying to confirm the claim here.

I think when people think of Houston, they still think of 15-20 years ago. They don't see the development and improvements and how it's grown and has actually become nice. There's nowhere else I'd rather live, it helped turn my career around and I'm happy. I hated Texas with a passion, then moved here for a job in 2006 and it was the best decision of my life.

Not the inner roads. Unless somethings changed since I was there in the early 2000's.
I swear I could've built a battleship with all the steel plates that were everywhere.

In your defense, it's a guarantee that some people who will bash Houston in this thread have never been to the city.
