St. Roch is the new Marigny and Bywater. It's starting to creep over.

This is a good thing.

Those prices are going to double when the St. Claude streetcar line is up and running.

They need tighter restrictions on section 8 housing. As long as this goes on the entire area will be a dump. Why would someone want to sell a place (a dump) that the government is giving a guarantee $1500 a month for?

It's about time for us Jefferson parish folks to get the hell out of here. Unfortunately the market goes up in orleans and drives the trash out this way.

"New Orleans has a problem with the poors making it a trashy place to live!"

or

"New Orleans real estate is out of control!"

Pick one or the other. Me, I'd pay more money.

No kidding huh? I'm paying over $2k/mo on a 1-bedroom apartment and they're bitching about $100 per square foot?

Was at St Roch today. Still a lot of work to do. The market had been vandalized, looked like someone took a driver swing at each window. Sad shite, but I can see how the area looks promising. Crescent Park is legit and it looks like the area is just waiting to be transformed.
