Strange how the restaurants stay full. Tourist destinations for vacations are staying booked. Vehicle sales are barely slowing down. Amazon shipments are still rolling like crazy. So who exactly is broke?

Yep, plus storage containers keep being built and full in no time. Americans have so much stuff that they can’t fit in their house and need extra storage for their stuff. Plus the average American is fat so they are eating well too.

Doesn’t take a lot to understand spending more on other essentials with wage constant means you have less money for other stuff.

CNBC said the other day inflation isn’t keeping up with wage growth and I almost vomit

It also doesn't help when you allow 10 million + illegal immigrants into the country in a 4 year period. Supply and Demand.

Prices are cooling in the Austin area. Still $200+/sq ft for a 50 year old house 30 minutes from downtown but anything above $600k is staying on the market longer than before. Everything close to downtown is still insanely expensive ($1M+) but those aren't moving fast either.

Wait. Your argument is that illegal immigrants, who mostly make barely enough to get by and can’t legally get a bank loan for a home, are causing prices of homes for sale to go up?

Logic holds. If they all rent, 10M less rental unit (let’s assume 1 per, but logic holds either way), less unit = higher price for rent = more people choosing to own and suffer (house poor) = home prices go up

China sucks so bad.

We probably planned this. Let them buy up all the real estate from them then make a law that they cant and take it back.

Tell me you don't know the definition of "money laundering" without telling me you don't know the definition of "money laundering."

Nashville has definitely not taken a hit. It’s not as insanely red hot as it was a year ago, but people aren’t backing off of prices around here.

The Chinese have infiltrated our economy to the point where other Asian countries are not fighting China. Best we can do is stop their advancement inside America land

The immigrants must be coming over with bags of money.

Also there is h1b and student visas

Good.

Things are about to get a lot worse for China in the next 5 years. A lot worse.

Rare to see a patriot in the Ot these days. They all will slave themselves to China for cheaper TVs at the expense of their children’s future

I’d rather a future where a few rich Chinese dudes own some property in TX than a future where we give the friggin Federal Government the power to seize privately owned real estate in an effort to control supply.

But that’s just me, comrade.
