Part of me says it's their "thing" stay out of it. Another part says, that's fricked up to do horses that way, and yet another part of me wants them all to learn better English.

There is no good reason to do this to horses.

That seems pretty damn painful for the horse. I have no problem with the ban.

I read that in El Guapo's voice... but seriously, it's a decent point. They were roping horses for a long time before the automobile came along.

There were over 26 million horses and mules in the U.S. in 1915, today there is just over 9 million. The urbanites with their fancy automobiles are guilty of a horse genocide yet criticize this sport which keeps these horses alive before they are sent to the dog food factory.

To be read in the voice of Mr. Ed.

If you want to trip horses, go back to Mexico.

If you have to be told not to do this, you were born an a-hole and you will die an a-hole.

If they want to do it in Mexico, fine, keep it over there.

Walt, if Paige asked you to run around and she chased you down with a horse and tripped you with a rope, would you do it?

They used to kill horses in the coliseum, I assume this is the P.R. version of that in modern times.

i watched the video and i still can't tell exactly what's going on... most of the horses still kept their feet?

so are they trying to trip the horses or trying to catch them by roping their hind feet? if the intent is to trip the horses it seems unnecessary. if the horses sometimes trip while being roped, it just seems like part of handling livestock to me. i think people are waaaaaay too sensitive about animals though.
