Terrible idea. Stick to the traditional trip unless your SO is from there.

I've partied with some Chilean broads, they are fricking wild. Enjoy!

I love going down there, it's a beautiful country, don't know the current exchange rate but the dollar is usually strong down there(almost always better than in Europe) great food, wine, not bad skiing either, always enjoyed it

I partied hard with Chileans in Brazil for the World Cup. One of the most enjoyable experiences of the whole trip

man, don´t know about that..

I do know (somewhat) somebody who did this, but that´s because they were born there.

Seems like it has alot to offer. Pacific Beaches, Easter Island, Andes mountains, glaciers, desert, volcanos and the world's largest pool. Pictures look pretty legit. What does the OT think of Chile?

It was on my list for Honeymoon locations as a "nearby" destination if we didn't get enough time off.

How long are you planning on being down there? As was said, Easter Island is a completely unrelated destination almost, so you need to have a lot of time because you are probably going to kill 3 days to get there and back.

7-9 days most likely.
