Anyone know the name or heard of this place? I went there once years ago and cant find it. They serve only steak and your only options are baked potato or fries and type salad dressing.

Probably right. They still have older successful businesses in that area though.

Yep. Cafe Pedigo. It's on Burgess, right down the street from the school. It's about as plain as a restaurant can be, fold out tables and chairs. And they don't sell booze.

They pretty much only offer ribeyes, and they don't cook past Medium. Also have a smoked prime rib which is

Owner is a super nice guy, comes out and talks to everyone. I recommend.

La Pedigo's was awesome. Used to frequent the one on Old Jefferson 20 or so years ago.

I heard that they closed because the owner was a complete drunk who couldn't keep his shite together. Don't know how true it is; just what I've heard.

He was a little too nice. He always walked around worrying everybody. Also had a waitress quit after taking the order and waited 30 mins before I found out she quit.

Great steaks. So much worrying of the customers though

Don Pedigo had the 1st mobile mechanic biz in BR, "Tune Up On Wheels"...I still have a pic of me wearing one of his logo'd tees.

Famous BR area mechanics list:

Jimmy Faul
Van Broussard
Don Pedigo
Gerald Nelson
