Also the band from Old School that randomly drops the f-bomb into song lyrics.

Check out River City Hit Squad. I believe they are from Hammond. They played at ours. They were great. Played a good mix of music, lots of energy, got the crowd into it.

This x1000. Had them for my wedding in March. Everyone loved them. Great sound, great entertainment, everyone dancing. And we're very reasonably priced compared to the other bands I checked into.

I've no doubt heard more comments about our band than any other aspect of our wedding. Someone who wasn't even at my wedding asked me just yesterday for the name of our band because she heard people saying how great they were and she wanted to see about booking them.

I want people to be hammered and dancing right away when they walk through the door. DJ's at weddings just can't do that.

What do these sentences mean?

My DJ was great, but he's super talented. Maybe you've just seen shitty DJs.

I went to a wedding a week before mine that had After 8. They were pretty good and all... but a lot of the same people that were at my wedding were also at that wedding, and they kept telling me how much better our band (The River City Hit Squad) was than the previous week's. And the kicker, I paid $250 less for an hour more of time.

At least go watch them play somewhere before you book a band.

who books a band for a wedding anymore? Sorry that your reception is going to be boring.

Either extremely poor taste or extremely poor troll attempt.

Don't know who that band is, but I didn't mention them.

They're mentioned in the thread, and according to you, bands are in good taste while DJs apparently are not.

We got a lot of comments about them too. The dance floor stayed packed. And, as you said, they were very reasonably priced.

And this is why I love the OT. Would never have heard of this band without it. Just emailed them about pricing and availability. I like what I heard on their website and the few videos on Youtube.

We had the Boogie Men. I had quite a few people tell us the band was great. I've got a couple music buffs in my family (my dad being one of them) and they loved them. I personally don't really remember a lot of it to be honest with you. I do know that right when we walked in, they were playing some great music, not the typical stuff bands will usually play when they know people are just getting there and not really dancing yet. I just remember them playing a lot of stuff like Chicago and Steely Dan that I didn't expect to hear when I walked through the door.
