I've narrowed it down to the Crowne Plaza on the edge of downtown or one of these Galleria area hotels........Westin Oaks Galleria, JW Marriott, Hyatt Regency, or Royal Sonesta. Thanks in advance for your help!

Royal Sonesta is nice. But if you can avoid the adjacent interstate.....do so!

If what you are coming in town for isn't in the Galleria. I would avoid it at all cost

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza a few years ago. Solid place if you're looking for an above average bed with good proximity to downtown.

Tour de Houston.....downtown is more convenient I know, but galleria area seems a bit more entertaining.

The only thing at the Galleria is a mall and hotels. Nice restaurants yes. Oh yeah there is a strip club just behind the Galleria. So maybe there is entertainment in that area.

Galleria area does have some stuff to d, but downtown/midtown also has a good bar scene too. 610 by the Galleria is a fricking nightmare, so I would personally stay downtown. Your money may very depending on how much you like strip clubs.

If you were coming into town for the rodeo, where is a good place to stay?

Ok so I decided on downtown.....Crowne Plaza seems like a serviceable property but I am thinking about dropping the extra cash for the Hyatt Regency downtown. Good choice??

Just teasing ya man. Think of it this way, your company doesn't practice wasteful spending so they will be in business longer, therefore more job security for you.
