It's not quite as bad as it's made out to be around here.
I'm not saying it's a great place or anything, but I bet y'all end up having nice time.

Meant to mention Apothecary. It is a speak easy bar in the back of Brent's Drugs.

Good lord man. Take her to Uncle Bucks at the bass pro, its the best thing you'll find in PEARL. All of the good places are downtown/north jackson

Yeah, I was more speaking about downtown.
That is a pretty desolate, crappy place.

There's just not a lot to do. Bars close early. The people are real clique-ish.
I am sure they will have a nice time, but whatevs

We will hit Jackson for the entertainment for sure. Wasn't expecting much beyond a hotel stay at Pearl

Any good hiking/walking trails along the reservoir? It's supposed to be a beautiful day and we like to hike
My work commitments don't really begin until very early Saturday morning...

People walk on the Natchez Trace and that is pretty pleasant.

Went to Jackson last year for a wedding, stayed at some hotel downtown. Literally like a ghost town, didn't see and resturants, bars, or even people walking around. It was scary, like a zombie movie.
