My dad does it routinely with fish. The holier than thou fishing types in S. Louisiana who eat nothing but trout and redfish, my dad will serve them sheepshead, drum, etc and they can't tell the difference.

I have a niece who has celiac disease. Nearly died as a child. I had a nearly deadly allergy to citrus as a youth, nearly had to be rushed to the hospital when someone "forgot" to mention they had used lemon in a recipe.

Your incredibly moronic and self center view of the world may get you into hot water some day. You come across as a real idiot in this post.

Got no problem with this.

So you'll lie about it? Why not just sat sorry, that's how I cook it, there's a Burger King right down the road if you don't like it? All you're proving is not not much of a host or friend.

Somebody got their panties in a wad. I'm more talking about insufferable people who want the world bent to their little ideology.

it's like some of you don't read. I even mentioned celiac.
Sheesh, lighten up Francis.

If you "don't like" okra? Damn right I will.

You just think you don't. But I've sautéed it down with butter and blended it up so you can't tell it's okra. And you had seconds.

About 1 in 100 people — about 1 percent — have celiac disease, an inherited autoimmune disease that causes damage to the small intestine when gluten is ingested. About .4 percent of people have a doctor-diagnosed wheat allergy, according to a 2006 study

Yeah, dummy, and the vast majority of disgusting fat bodies are from overeating, despite the tiny, tiny percentage of people that have actual thyroid issues.

So .4% of people have a wheat allergy. Yet in the lily-white suburbs of Spokane, Washington, roughly 50% of the soccer moms and their daughters claim to need a gluten-free diet.

The OP isn't talking about legit medical cases.

have you had someone come to your house and say "if that isn't vegan, I'm not eating it"

because I doubt you have and if you did, you need new friends

Unfortunately, medical science defeated Darwinism that day but make no mistake- if being exposed to a lemon nearly killed you, you aren't fit to live on this planet. You pussy.

Thankfully I don't have any friends or family that are vegan.

But if I did, I would respect their food preferences and not try to trick them into eating something they don't like.

I know someone who has an allergy to meat from contracting Rocky Mountain spotted fever. She doesn't usually explain that she has an allergy to people she just tells them she doesn't eat meat. I guess she assumes most people aren't such dicks to slip something in on someone.

I once gave a lady regular coffee instead of decaf because decaf needed to brew and we were cleaning up

hope she made it home alive

gave tons of people decaf instead of regular coffee if the regular needed brewing and I knew they wanted their coffee quickly

What if they do like it though?

I've snuck zucchini squash into cookies for kids that "Don't like vegetables" too.

Pickiness is 90% in your head.

Most People can't tell the difference between "organic" and regular (they both grow in the ground.)

But if you serve them "organic" something, they'll rave about how much better it is.

Even if there isn't a damn difference.
