The thought of what that entails. I'm not a quitter. Never have been. And if you are truly at rock bottom then the only place to go is up. But one thing is for goddamn sure you can't continue on the same path. Find out what is so shitty about your life and change it. Job, girl, family, friends, weight, whatever. Life is too short ot be truly miserable. Figure out what you dont like and change it. The road to change can be hell but enjoyable if its a road to somewhere you want to go.

Lost a 27 year marriage, my health, and a 20+ year career due to a layoff in the span of about 18 months. Got re-hired after seven months off to a better job. Had to do a lot of rehab to get over the injuries from the accident. The only thing I have not gotten back is a stable lady companion. It's been seven years. I keep looking. The church can go jump in the fricking lake since the wife skipped out with a minister. I could line most of them bastards up and shoot them.

That said, I have slowly been getting my life back bit by bit and am grateful for what I get. There will never be justice for what happened, so I am just trying to let go of it, other than perhaps the desire to torch churches. LOL Seriously, I will probably never be able to trust a church again in this lifetime. The kids feel the same way. I do have their respect and love and that means a lot. I also have this dog who has stood with me throughout this ordeal. I know I will have to give her up on day, but I am not sure where I would have been emotionally without that dog.

Dogs are amazing. Regardless of what you do, they still love you. They are the best companions in the world. And they can't argue back.

I'm looking for a Boxer puppy right now. If you know any breeders, hook me up.

No matter what shite life throws at you, you fight it off and you do it for him. He needs his father. If you can't fight and be strong for yourself,m then do it for him.

My kids were what kept me going at times. I found myself without a spouse and all of the sudden having to run a household in addition to a full time job. It wasn't easy, and there were times I did not know how I would do it. But, somehow we keep things up and running.

Tell you the truth, I wish my old man had been around for me. Unfortunately, he had been dead for some time.

I haven't hit rock bottom because I have will power. Sounds like you have some character issues.

I hope Medic sees this thread and realizes that there are complete strangers who actually give a shite about him.

And same with me. I'll listen as long as someone needs me too. I have tons of experience to offer. I'm not so sure that I would follow my own advice though.

Quite true. It's like everything is dead in the water and you are only floating further away from shore ..... and you don't even care.

I know it can seem there are no good women left in this world, particularly if you spend any amount of time here on the OT. But there are still good decent women out there despite all you read on here.

Hell, I am still looking for another one myself. I date a few here and there, but they wind up being crazier than what left me. Their expectations are so damned unrealistic.

Thanks for your insightful input.

Maybe some people find it easier to talk to people that they don't know vs people that they do? In fact, it's rather common. Shrinks make quite a living off of it.

It still baffles me that some people don't know when to stop running their dick sucker and just exit the thread and not reply.
