bought a house to flip it and lost our asses. But we lived in it for 4 years so we at least enjoyed living in it. Still losing 25k sucks!

2008 -2012?

I know some that lost more than 25k.
But remember, the next house you got was cheaper, too, so really you don't overly lose, unless you were moving out of California or Florida after buying at the peak.
And if that was the case, losing only 25k, you'd be doing great.

My remorse? dot com stocks in the late 90s.

yep...my whole life, people have told me that renting is just throwing away money and that buying a house was the only way to go...

well, I finally broke down and bought a house...that was in late 2007...need I say more?....

My uncle who rented for 20 something years decided to finally buy a 1st floor condo in NOLA. In June 2005.

Current house.

Mr 1999 bought a palm pilot thing in the early 2000s. Only a couple hundred, but it basically collected dust in a drawer after 3 months before I tossed out a few years later.

Piece of antique furniture that a piece broke off of as we loaded it onto our truck. 600 euros and we still haven't fixed it 5 years later.

My mom bought a two-door Benz when I was like a senior in high school and after they signed everything and took it off the lot they decided on the way home they didn't want it. Took it back, lot was closed for the day and just left it there.

Dealership was decent about it and gave them all their money back.

I didn't even know about it until my friend whose dad did our family's car insurance asked me how she liked it.

I bought a $600 Louis Vuitton necklace for a gf after we were in a fight where I screwed up royally. I ended up breaking up with her like a month later. That still lingers in my head.

Girls Gone Wild DVDs with my dads credit card in middle school. I cancelled that shite like 5 times and they kept charging and the DVDs kept coming.

And the DVDs aren't nearly as good as you'd think

Had a swimming pool built at my house. Should have listened to the pool owners who told me not to do it.

Years ago, I Bought a failing retail business for 200k. Thought that I could "turn it around". Needless to say how it turned out.

I sold It a year later to the next person who thought that I didn't know what I was doing and said they had the magic touch and could turn it around. What a relief!!

A really, REALLY expensive pair of Tory Burch shoes. I got a pretty nice bonus that quarter and even though it was "my money", I ran it by the husband and he was fine with it because it was with "bonus" money.

I love they way they look on me, they are beautiful, and I get a ton of compliments when I wear them but HOLY frick THEY ARE THE MOST PAINFUL SHOES I HAVE EVER OWNED!!! It's like wearing shoes lined with sandpaper and and roofing nails.

I swear, the pain of awesome shoes is like childbirth - the result is awesome so your brain gets tricked into forgetting the pain, so you are willing to give it another go. And then after a few hours you remember why you said "I'M NEVER DOING THIS AGAIN!" the last time.

Did your dad "confiscate" the DVDs?

This POS for me. I've heard mixed reviews and to be wary about purchasing one. I was just promoted at my company and making some decent money. I was enthralled with the look and bells and whistles of the vehicle. It turned out to be the biggest POS, pain in the arse ever. It was in the shop more than it was one the road. Repairs, even routine, were very expensive. It lost tremendous value and was hard to sell.

That said, from an aesthetic point of view, I still think it is the nicest looking vehicle to date.

I don't think you know what buyers remorse is.
