have job titles always been so out of control?

I like the senior level analysts who are 23 and straight out of college.

Some places refuse to give pay raises based on merit. So, they create fake job titles to give people more money.

We have 50 or so employees in my company, and fully 30 of them have a title of Director, VP or President of a division.

Our HR lady told me it's so that people will respond to calls from people with nice titles vs a generic title.

So almost 10% of your office are VPs and you're not one of them?

Me too. Imagine me disappointed when I opened this thread.

I laugh at all the certification initials after the names of insurance and real estate people. Nobody but their coworkers know what any of that shite means.
