There are places in NM, CA, and CO where you can get huge tracts of land for pennies but they are near nothing and lack easy access to utilities.

Trash land in AR and swamp land in FL pop up sites like the one above too. In AR you can buy whole subdivisions that are sparsely populated for cheap.

I thought this was going to be the little replica Western town in Ridgway, CO. I think that one was built for filming of the original True Grit.

ETA - Ray’s Jerky in Ridgway has some tasty stuff.

For 320 acres and the buildings that isn’t a bad price. Hell, the RV park alone will generate a shot ton of cash 8 or so months a year.
