Steven Seagal

Went to his house at 2282 Mandeville Canyon Road in 1995. He lived pretty close to O.J. Me and my Dad were in L.A. doing the Leeza Gibbons daytime talk show and my friend Art Harris was covering O.J. Seagal wanted to meet my Dad.

I have met a ton...just go to some boxing matches.

I have pictures with:

Don King

Ali

Frazer

and Larry Holmes.

I met Anthony Bourdain one night in the Miss Delta. He and his crew were filming an episode of Parts Unknown at a blues dive called Po’Monkeys. The guy was a total jerk. He used his entourage to keep the unwashed from his eminence. Jessica Lange was there that night too but was with another group and did not interact with Bourdain at all. The old black man who owned the place came over to our table and smoked a cigar with us. He didn’t have a kind word to say about Bourdain. You can see me and my buddies in the episode drinking and dancing with some school teachers.

Most recently, Brady Quinn.

Took a lot for me not to bring up the 2007 Sugar Bowl.

I met Kurt Russel at the Aspen airport once while he was wearing a “I’m not the real Kurt Russel” t-shirt. Gave the play by play but I wasn’t one of the GMT or LNST click so it went unnoticed.

I met Allen West at Slovaceks in West, TX during Covid. He was getting some beef jerky. It was early during pandemic, and I didn’t know how strict they were on face masks so ashamed to admit I was wearing one. I told him my dad and I were big fans and asked if he’d take a pic with me. He said sure, but take that face diaper off first. Never been as excited and ashamed at the same time.

As a child, I met Ken Curtis (Festus from Gunsmoke).at Blackham Coliseum when he was doing the rodeo. Also talked to Michael Landon and called him Little Joe. Asked him if the horse was his and he told me he borrowed it.

Had a long conversation with Tom Lester (Eb from Green Acres). He was good friends with the crew from Beverly Hillbillies. The filmed side by side.

Asked President George Bush a question at the Town Hall.

Heckled candidate Bill Clinton at a rally in Girard Park-Lafayette.

Talked with Willie Robertson and his wife for about an hour at a party in Beverly Hills. Met Tony Gonzales and the owners of the Lakers there as well.

Met Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood a few weeks ago before they opened his new bar.

Met Justice Alito and some other prominent politicians. Talked for a while with Kris Paronto (that dude frickin hates Hillary).

Met Jerry Reed when we were kids. Sat in the front ditch waiting for him to come to the neighbor’s across the street from my parents. Was in town to maybe buy The Oxbow restaurant.

Met Hokie Gajan when they first opened the Revco drugstore in New Roads, also when were kids.

I drove Dan Quayle from the airport to the golf course about 2 years after he was Vice President. I was at a cocktail party with Bill Clinton on Martha's Vineyard about three days before JFK Jr crashed his plane out there.

Reminds me of that old joke-

Who wins a spelling bee between Dan Quayle and Bill Clinton?

Dan Quayle. Because he’s the only one who realizes “harass” is one word.
