Reggie Jackson, Jerry Rice, and Steve Young.

My dad saw an ad for a football 'camp' being put on by the 49ers when I was 12. It was pretty expensive but it said there were four slots available for underprivileged kids, so he said 'what the hell' and called and put my name in (we were solid middle class), and lo and behold, I was selected.

When we got to the training facility in Santa Clara I was assigned to my 'sponsor' who turned out to be Reggie freakin' Jackson. We spent the day doing various drills and what not, catching passes from Steve Young, throwing passes to Jerry Rice and things with other players.

And the four of us 'poor kids' got to do a bunch of stuff the paying kids didn't, like tour the facility and eat lunch with the team.

I crashed at Puffy Daddy's crib after a party one night. I was black out drunk and he was nice enough to let me stay the night.

Was working at Blockbuster in Covington before/after Katrina - Alec Baldwin came in one day looking for some obscure movie nobody had ever heard of and no store in a 100 mile radius had. He was doing habitat for humanity work I believe, came in to get his ego stroke for the day I guess.

Paul Newman walked past me but we didn't speak. He was minding his business and I was minding mine.

I "met" Frank Gifford when I was a year old. An ex NY Giant lived next door to us and he was visiting him.

Mine have only been sports.

And the only one that wasn’t just a random meeting and talking for a few seconds was sitting on a plane next to Laron Landry. We just talked about LSU.

Met Martin and Godwin from Duck Dynasty a few years ago at an event in Memphis.
Also met the Nature Boy WOO Ric Flair in an airport back in the early 90s. He was pretty cool and took a picture with me and my wife’s (no pics) grandmother.

Met Shaq when he was with the Magic in Orlando. The team did like a caravan drive around in a bus for places during the Christmas Season as part of a community outreach program. This was foster home I used to volunteer with. Biggest human being I ever saw.

I’ve met a bunch of them. Stallone has star power irl.

Heather Graham is the most beautiful one I’ve interacted with. JLaw wasn’t too hard on the eyes either.

Yes. He is a personal friend of mine also.

Chine Terrebonne.

Chine’s Net Shop

La 1

GoldenMeadow, Louisiana
Chine sewing and talking YouTube.

82 years old. Starts sewing at 5:00 AM and does it for twelve hours.

Y’all ought to go to Golden Meadow and meet him.

I go visit on the day they cook. They used to cook three times a week but two of the cooks have died.

Those old men from Bayou Lafourche can cook up some good stuff. Most have been cooking since they were kids working on boats or going to the camp.

Chine makes my nets. And Gerald the guy sewing with the light colored shirt is helping me rig my boat.
