No issues. Live in LA, bought it in GA, and I get it serviced in MS. A warranty is a warranty anywhere.

Negotiate over the phone and have them deliver it to you.

People fly from all over the country to this dealer in Idaho. If you are looking for a Chrysler, Ram, or Jeep check it out.

When I was living in Houston, I was negotiating a deal on a challenger in Atlanta. Ended up getting a matching offer from a dealership in MS for my Challenger. Surprised me, but it was end of the month and the sales guy needed it to hit some quota he needed and the dealership needed it to hit a new car sales quota for the month.

If you're buying out of state, you might as well find a large volume dealer that you know a local can't match. I bought my Vette in Georgia from a place with around 50 on the lot. My local dealer had two that sat for a couple months. I know they weren't matching the deal. They said they might come down $1,500 or so, whereas I got around $6K off sticker. If I went to a dealer out of state that wasn't anything special, I'm sure if I looked around locally, someone would match.

I was looking for a new vette and all-star chevrolet mananger told me he could do credit union discounts(~9%).
They only had 1 in stock and might get an allocation every other month.

Not sure if he was b.s-ing and just trying to get me to sit down an order one or not.

yes. had to go to Dallas to get a good deal on Toyota. very competitive, high volume dealers there. did everything online and by phone. Word of caution- have the Tx dealer send the registration info to the Baton Rouge DMV, not to the DMV near you.

Never had a local dealer match the price, so I made the short drive. Completely worth it.

When I was shopping for my truck(used) I was amazed how the locals didn't want to deal... I was actually willing to pay a few thousand more than the deal I wound up getting at a Houston dealership.
