Lots of us didn't have flood insurance in Kingwood since we lived in a 500 year flood plain. We actually got flooded out by Lake Conroe releasing epic amounts of water after the record rainfall. That's another topic worthy of it's own thread since most everyone that saw a weather forecast when Harvey was still spinning in the Gulf saw that Houston was gonna get dumped on. Why the tards at the SJRA didn't release water prior to this is a mystery that I am sure will have years of litigation to get to the bottom of?
Back on point, this money should go to those poor souls who didn't have flood insurance after FEMA gives out their stockpile.

It was originally $52,500 for the proposed original sale of 350 triggers at the $150 price point
There was such a demand and a system overload on their servers the day they went on sale, that potential buyers complained about not being able to get through on the site to purchase them.
So Geiselle increased the limited production number from 350 to "500" and sold the remaining 150 the very next morning...
Just trying to make sure they get the proper credit...but even at your verified $52,500 instead of $75k, I'm glad they are getting some recognition.
