Is it just me, or does the guy's voice sound like he is deaf/hearing impaired as well?

I thought it was cute that he wanted the first thing she heard from him was "Will you marry me?".

Based on her ability I don't think you can really assume this is the first time she could hear/speak.

I think you misinterpreted what I was saying. Or focused on the wrong part It is clear she has had hearing at some point in her life. Has nothing to do with how special I'm sure the moment was for her.

I agree with person above who said the dude talks like he is deaf or something though.

It is okay to state that you'd hate the proposal.
Except I don't.

It's ok for you to just watch it and be happy, instead of the usual internet whining and complaining we see about everything no matter how nice or great or whatever it is.

TEAR IT DOWN!!!!

Probably so. I was still recovering from reading the thread about what the guy's dog ate...

That's very noble, you can tell he thought it would mean the world to her.

So, crazy thing.. but the word "you" can be used in the general context. I wasn't referring to shel311.

I'll stand by my comment. I don't think a content person happy in their own lives at the time they watch thet video would watch it and their 1st reaction would be something negative.

I'll stick to that.

Well you're wrong.

I saw it over the weekend -- no comments attached since a friend posted it on FB. I watched it expecting to see someone hearing for the first time because I'm a sucker for those. And when I saw her boyfriend not become aware of the situation and pocket the proposal for that evening or something and do it during an already extremely emotional/special moment for her, I thought to myself "Hmm, that seems selfish."

Then I clicked away and moved on with my life.

I guess feeling like the girl's special moment was overshadowed makes me a miserable person with a sad life

Not sure why a happy person would go through all of that weirdness you just posted and not just responded to the video with a simple, "Awe, that's sweet."

She speaks incredibly clear which is quite strange. Most cochlear implant patients need a lot of time to adjust to get their words out properly. Either way, looked authentic to me so props to them both

What? Whether or not I (or some other internet stranger) has a miserable life is a not an "agree to disagree" situation unless you're secretly hiding in my closet and know something about me that I don't know.

Because it wasn't sweet to me It was attention-grabby. Luckily for us all, it has a possibility of not being real anyway.

No clue what that means.

You said someone who doesn't think it is cute is miserable and sad with their life. I said that is not true. You said you agree to disagree.. which insinuates you know that I am 100% sad with my life. What is there not to get here? Or do you not know what you were agreeing to disagree with?

The first thing she says when he asks if she can hear his voice is "yeah you sound funny".

On a day that was filled with a lot of bad news, that's pretty cool.

frick women. You'll get what you get, and you'll like it. This whole "I want this for my proposal" bullshite is insane. This woman got to hear her boyfriend speak for the first time, and he told her he wants to spend the rest of his life with herin the ultimate way. frick anyone's selfish, jaded arse if they think that's interrupting her happiness.
