GRE v GMAT

Anyone have any opinions/experience on these tests? May be applying to an online MBA program if I can get financial approval from my company to do so. A few of the schools I’m looking at will take either of the tests.

I've taken the GRE. English section vocab was ridiculous in terms of the words they expected you to know. Essay section was stupid. Math section I thought was fair.
Overall, the test was a waste of time, but I needed it and it wasn't that hard with some preparation (definitely need to at least do a little prep to know what's coming). Just a stupid way to determine grad/professional school admissions, in my opinion.

I’ve taken both. The math is pretty similar on both, in my opinion. Both have comparable reading comprehension.
It really comes down to whether you want to take a test that focuses on grammar (GMAT) or vocabulary (GRE).

I took the GMAT years ago. I took a study class and the night before the practice test and I went out and got drunk. I did the same thing before the real test and did just fine on it.

I prefer the verbal on the GMAT but it's a personal choice.

I thought the GRE was fairly easy.

The GRE isn’t that hard. I took it 25 years after I got my bachelor’s degree and got a great score.
I just did a few weeks of prep and I was good to go. There’s nothing to fear from the GRE.

Already did that a long time ago. 2 years of law school was enough for me. Probably should’ve finished, but didn’t want to waste another year of my life knowing I was t going to be a lawyer.
Is it true GMAT is more quantitative math and GRE is more geometry focused?

I’ve been studying for the gmat to take it again after getting 690 the first time..trying to break 700. It’s actually a pretty tricky test

I took the GMAT basically still drunk, and scored well.

GMAT kicked my arse. The school I went on to receive. 3.8 and graduate from took a flyer on me... probation the first semester. Not everyone test well. That being said I’ve heard the GRE is significantly easier. Good luck

Aptitude tests. If you test well, you'll ace either one.
I scored middling on both, but close enough to talk my way into graduate school with a TA.
Should've gone straight into a sales career, but two more years of school in an SEC town after undergraduate was hard to turn down.
