Government and Foster - Kids with buckets wanting money

Almost hit one of the kids with my truck today as they're running through 4 lanes of traffic, laughing and knocking on vehicle windows asking for money.
The step dad, really class act guy, parks in the new circle K parking lot in a tan tahoe daily, and sends the kids (12+ at all times) to beg for cash. He sits back, and they dump the buckets of money in his truck every few mins.
I can see this happening from my work 5-6 afternoons a week, usually 4-6 pm, then on weekends during lunchtime.
All 4 corners. All kids running through traffic. Effin rediculous.
I asked the kid today what the money is for. He said their after school program, with a really guilty look on his face.
Quite the scheme this dude has going on, and I guess the cops don't give a shite, bc everytime they run him off, he just comes back.
It's really gonna suck when a law abiding citizen has their life ruined bc one of these little turds gets ran the hell over during rush hour.

There are shitloads of panhandlers in Florida because they can do it year round with really mild climate. Orlando news rand a segment one time where a lady makes about 300 dollars a day, tax free. Drove a BMW to a parking lot and then walks over.

I can't imagine this is accurate. That's a lot of money every single day, especially when it's likely that it's a lot of the same people passing every day.
Did they say how long she stays out there per day? Seven days a week?

It was a story on the local news when I lived in St. Aug. I don't know Orlando too well but Orlando traffic is absolutely brutal. I'm not exactly sure of the details in terms of her setting other than the footage of them following her from her house to the parking lot and vice versa. I do remember the news teaser was this woman makes 1500 dollars in a FIVE DAY work week panhandling(whole lead in was obviously for comparison to viewer's occupation). Even if she was out there for 12 hours/day for five days that's still 25/hr average.
