I agree it looks bad on the surface, but myself and 35 coworkers all donated to the BRAF fund so that our employer would match it.
Also, companies that might want to give more and get a tax deduction would also use the BRAF fund. That's also the place almost all the restaurant and other organized fund raising efforts are going.
I'm sure the total officer dontions are many times higher than what gofund me balances are.

Misleading. Lots of money outside of this GoFundMe is going to these families. They had support structures in place.

Showed up a little before 1 pm and they were already out of food. We gave them money anyways. They gave us a t shirt.
Great to see the community is still supporting the officers and their families. We talked to the mother of the caterers and she said they had around 108 plates and they sold them in less than an hour and they made much more in donations.
