ESPN will have basketball, soccer and baseball all at once.. I suggest losing your remote starting Thursday when the World Cup starts.

Met a British dude in his 80's the other day. And he asked me what Friday was? I knew it was a WW2 date of significance. But I choked and he told me. I then realized by his age that he was there. Not Normandy but in Europe/England and he was an adolescent. So I asked him saying, "you were there during the war." I didn't want to get the guy emotional as I cannot imagine what he saw or if he heard bombs and air raid sirens or his family homes were destroyed. I just asked how long it took for he and his wife to think England had returned to normal.
He said it was probably college for him. Mid 50's. They were still receiving rations to that point. I believe he said 6 oz of meat per week.
He married and they moved to the US in the 70's and said that was his first culture shock. Seeing the slabs of meat served with every meal and all of our portions.
