Currently, there are 76 customers affected according to the Entergy power outage map.

Let's play with The Price Is Right rules. Closest to highest number without going over wins.

Current High Number:513 at 6pm
Leader: TigerWise (99)

Past Highs: 74 at 2 pm, 348 at 5:55 pm, 513 at 6:05.

If this hard ice keeps falling around the area I am sure it will be bad news in a few neighborhoods

im gonna say close to 17,000

quote:

At 1/4 inch of freezing rain accumulation, more limbs and lines become coated, causing similar, but somewhat more widespread outages to the distribution system. Younger evergreen trees can become so heavy that they may lean into the distribution lines, causing more outages.
A 1/2 inch accumulation on power lines can add 500 pounds of extra weight to the line, snapping it.

As long as I don't, I don't care. But seriously, I'm covered.

So Spike Lee filmed a few crack heads who said this and now it has been spouted so many times that I think people really think the whole city believed this.
