I think there are deeply happy and positive relationships, sure, but 'true love' is a fantasy. Even fantastic relationships can have rocky moments. 'True Love' is a symptom of everyone buying into the Disney Princess ideal of relationships.
What I find so hurtful about the ex in discussion is how she lied to him for years, by omission, and didn't have the decency to at least say she was unhappy. I've seen this reckless behavior before and its baffling why it isn't shamed more when women are unfaithful.
Oh well, don't mind me. I'm just saying the issues in play that caused her to cheat are definitely not resolved.
