I also have a friend with a pit rescue in Livingston Parish if you don't get any hits. A pup like that should find a home quickly, and she vets people meticulously.

Kudos to you for your efforts. A good idea is to get with an organization that will pay for some shots, neutering, etc. then you charge the adopter a small penance. That way you weed out the no gooders.
But good luck, we have some foster pups most of the time that are looking for homes.

Just begged my wife to let me take him in, but we already have a big pup and a baby on the way.

She is sharing to her Facebook to see if we can find any takers.

Beautiful pup! Kudos to you and your son for taking him in.

I'm fairly certain that we would want the dog, BUT we are leaving for vacation on Wednesday and returning the Friday after Thanksgiving.

If you could keep the pup that long, we could drive down that Saturday. If not, we understand.

Regardless, tell your son that he is a good man and a hero in the eyes of the OT.

Put your pants on and go get the dog. You'll never regret it. You already have one dog and trust me, the two together actually will divert attention away from the baby.
And let me say this to all, for the love of god, "having a baby" to not get a pet is one of the dumbest reasons of all. Completely two different things. The cat won't smother the infant and the dog* won't attack the baby, either.

I'm in the same boat man. I would take him and I work in Houma but I won't be going back home for 11 more days. I'm going back home on Thanksgiving day. If you have it still, I'll take him

Well, that is not exactly what the term "happy ending" first brings to my mind, but I suppose I agree.

damn good of you. If there's one thing I can't stand it's animal abuse. those kids kicking the dog are likely gonna end of pieces of shite. bad parents equals shite kids. Your kid should be commended
