So basically, teenagers going through puberty are confused about their sexuality?
How is this news, exactly, or any different than any other point in history?
Well there is one difference - kids today have access to much more information about things. They are confused, but they have a lot more things they know, which confuses them even more.

Interestingly I had a conversation with a friend who does juvenile development psychology on something related to this recently. A lot of this is actually driven by girls identifying as Bi. A lot of them do it due to peer pressure and then end up in counseling.

It's gonna be funny to watch kids get beat up at school for being a cisgender phago.
Any person that uses the word "cisgendered" is someone I could never hang with. I don't even think I've heard of that term before this year (as in 2016). We used to use a different term for this: normal. Seriously, if 99.9% of society isn't affiliated with something, then they're called normal.
I don't need to label myself for every single fricked up condition I lack. And for a group of people who claim to love diversity, they sure do love to put people into groups and shunning people for something they can't help. People who say I'm "privileged" or use the word "privilege" on a daily basis can frick off.

Vice, only 48% of Gen Z's identify as straight.

I have yet to hear "cisgender" any where but the internet.
I was a communications minor at LSU so I was around plenty of lefties

I've seen this term a decent bit in OkCupid.

I hadn't heard of "cis" until mid to late 2015.

This is what I read at first. Disappointed in the lack of nursery rhymes

whats the next generation going to be called? Gen AA?

This definitely seems like a skewed study.

"Normal" is a subjective term. I'm sure fundamentalist Muslims and Christians all consider themselves perfectly "normal".

According to a report by trend forecasting agency J. Walter Thompson Innovation Group, only 48 percent of Gen Zs identify as exclusively heterosexual, compared to 65 percent of millennials aged 21 to 34.
So 35% (1/3) millennials do not consider themselves heterosexuals. I do not believe this.

newsflash: young people say/do things that older people think are weird
those same young people grow up
rinse, repeat
It's funny seeing people get so up and arms about things that have happened since the beginning of human history

I remember when kids getting tattoos or piercings or playing video games or listening to violent music was all the latest in cultural meltdowns. Seems we survived all of that.

We won't be able to label anymore generations, it is too offensive.
