re: Forget Millenials, Could Generation Z be the worst?

quote:Here is the other thing. I dont know a single person that has ever protested Every one in my group of friends has a job and lives on their own. Also, pretty much everyone from my high school that I see on facebook seems to do just fine. I think the issue is, with everything being on some form of media these days, people see the shitheads in public view waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than before
The Mil's are just a protest looking for a cause and not coming up with much.

Congratulations to you and your parents, then.

That may be true. The difference is what your shitheads are whining about vs what the previous generations' shitheads were whining about.

hey are very similar. The difference is that the Boomers actually had legitimate causes to protest, whether you agree with them or not. The Mil's are just a protest looking for a cause and not coming up with much.
Bingo.
The boomers were all about protesting the "establishment" and the "man". Same thing the Millennials are doing now.
The Boomers were all about "sexual liberation" and "free love". The Millennials have taken that banner up and added a Rainbow Flag.
The Boomers blamed all their problems on the their parents generation. They're motto was "don't trust anyone over 30" or something similar. The Millennials are doing this now with the Boomers being their main target.
The Boomers embraced Communism & Socialism in the 60s. The Millennials are doing the same today with their support for Bernie Sanders.
The Boomers thought they were the smartest and brightest generation ever that knew more than any generation before. The Millennials think the same thing which is shown for their contempt for everything that can be considered "traditional" values.
So yes, there's not a thimbleful of difference between the Boomers of the 60s and Millennials of today.

I guess I just don't get the generation thing. I am a clone of my dad. And everyone said he is a clone of his. So 3 generations of the same. I think all generations are almost exactly the same in nature. They just appear differently based on the environment they grow up in. And the cycle of thinking each generation is shite will continue on forever

I think the problem comes up when Mommy's 3rd husband, or whomever she's shacking up with this month, is the one raising you. The more broken homes there are, the worse the kids turn out.

Notice how they use Jalen Smith as there example.
whatever generation Jaden Smith is in, yeah that one's the worst.

I refuse to believe anyone really said this before Caitlyn Jenner. I've never heard of the prefix "cis" before and anyone who is fricking sane would have no idea what someone was talking about if they said this.

These weaklings need more generation ZZ Top

Man I really feel the Millenial generation is split

In a study done by Vice, only 48% of Gen Z's identify as straight.
Kids of every generation have bent over backwards to be "unique".
Of course, they always fail because, being kids, they all tend to fall in on the same "unique" ideas.
I'm reminded of a time I was speaking to an emo kid in about 2004 who told me they dressed the way they did because they didn't like to "conform".
I was like, "have you seen the people you hang out with. Every last one of you looks alike and you buy all your clothes at a fricking mall store that is in every mall in the country".
Well. This whole "look at me, I don't fit in a box" thing has just become another "box" that they've all put themselves in.
In every generation, the kids who are ACTUALLY unique and their own people are generally called conformists by the kids who all look like each other.

These kids were raised by generation x. Why would this be a surprise?
my neighbor is not an x but a boomer, and she's a communist genius...
her son is millenial, don't drive, would never mow the lawn unless paid top dollar
mowed like a 10yo too...

Is the millennial generation really only 14 years wide?

14-16ish

The problem with it being so large is that people forget the massive amount of innovation that went on in that time period
Posted on 4/7/16 at 8:47 pm to NorthShoreTiger44
Who is defining this generation? 20 year olds are still Millennials which are roughly 1981-2001.
Posted on 4/7/16 at 8:50 pm to NorthShoreTiger44
They are all the worst until their time on earth is done and the people that are left can judge their accomplishments.

Ah, yes, so educated. So very educated. You like tossing that around like a name brand pair of shoes or jeans. Makes you feel better about yourself, doesn't it?
