My son has autism. Things starting seeming off with him? about 2 days after his MMR vaccine. He had a reaction to the vaccine and after the low grade fever he had for two days his eyes looked blank.

He's nonverbal and now 6 years old.

I'm not saying the vaccine gave him autism or even caused it. However, it may have triggered something that was already inside. Maybe there is now an autism trait being passed down. Most likely it's due to some environmental issue (food additives or chemicals in the air, water and soil). Before the vaccine he was a happy kid. All smiles all of the time. Since then it's been a battle.

I couldn't imagine this happening to mine, I wish you all the best.

meh, he earned it imo.

People take it too far IMO. I could understand if he was taking some off the wall stance, but he's not here.

Making a random hate on Darth post is about as cool as all the alpha/beta nonsense.

Who knows how true that actually is. Could be just a ploy so that people will be afraid again and take the vaccines.

Glad you are taking this fairly reasonably and aren't letting your personal story take control of you. I don't know if I'd be able to do the same. But even if the vaccine caused autism, there's still a much, much higher chance that he would die of some disease that the vaccines were fighting against.

People seemed to be agreeing with him, and I thought it was a well written argument that helps clarify things. I didn't feel like reading 3 pages of this thread to determine who was serious and who wasn't

I don't think anyone did, and he made it clear from the beginning he was just fricking around with the "frick it, I'll do it."

Honestly? I don't lose sleep over what people on keyboards say. I have enough people that think I'm shitty in real life to worry about posters on TD.

So you used one of you supposedly few OT posts to post about Darth? Seems you may have an obsession and you don't want to admit it.

There's absolutely NO proof that vaccinations don't cause autism and possibly a myriad of other mental health issues. Just common sense would tell you that putting MERCURY into your blood stream at any age would be incredibly dangerous and you're promoting that we do it to infants?!?!? What kind of monster would even entertain such an idea in the interests of fighting diseases that we haven't even seen in generations?

I was gonna go grab the facts and post them, but I think I'm just tired of trying argue with fricking morons. I'll leave it to someone else

it's not necessarily his stance on topics that makes people hate him, but his posting style and debating tactics.

You'd have to write off almost everyone from the OT if that was a legit criticism of people, that's just my opinion of course.

I'll give you credit for opening yourself up like that. I honestly can't imagine what it's like to have a child, much less one with autism.

I can only vaguely relate to what it was like having a disease that nobody knew how it happened or why.

You can take solace that several other people clearly missed it as well.
