Apparently this has been around since at least 2011 but I saw it myself recently for the first time and also saw some discussion on the facebook.
Seems like there are quite a few mother's who deserve the extra praise.
this guy is mad

Not surprised. It's the feminine imperative.

What kind of woman won't let dad have even one day to himself . Apparently the answer is all of them

Notice its in the "mahogany" section.

You're overlooking the fact that this is part of the "Mahogany" selection (i.e. cards specifically geared towards black people)
Basically, Hallmark is recognizing the cultural problem that it's not uncommon for black fathers to be completely absent from their children's lives, and trying to at least make a few bucks on an occasion where evidently revenues are pretty slim from one particular demographic.

My Mom was the closest thing I had to a dad (he was a POS) but this is just retarded. I would never think of getting my Mom a father's day card.

Nope! That baby (assuming there's one in that rag) has two moms. The "dad" is somewhere else....Unless one of those two has a penis.

The new definition of transparent.............. Giving your mom a card on Father's Day
Posted on 6/16/15 at 10:16 am to ChunkyLover54
It's pretty staggering to compare the consumer spend leading up to mother's day compared to father's day.

Reminded me of the strawberry festival poster.

Mahogany is motion, experiences, triumphs and visions. It’s sons, daughters…women and men. Mahogany is African and American and undeniably me.
