Like showing people how being overweight is unhealthy, and helping them lose weight and live longer?

...public service announcement this is not. It's a thread to have fun bashing the gravity-challenged.

Well, unhealthy, fat people will now cost all of us more due to their fat-related health problems.

World would also be a better and healthier place if fat people weren't fat. Hell, the average life expectancy of the USA would increase significantly and medical costs would decrease significantly.

Quit being fat.

.......guess what? I'm not fat. It's just amusing how mean and venomous some of you get when given the chance to pounce on a target.

ETA: I am in agreement on the fat issues. I'm just pointing out another civic challenge.

I agree with you here. I don't care how much your weigh or if you are healthy or unhealthy. It's your life. Live it like you want to. If my tax money is paying for your healthcare, we enter a whole new ballgame.

My g/f is an ICU nurse. The obscenely obese people that she has to take care of is disgusting.
1) Their health issues are almost always due to being unhealthy and overweight.
2) They have no desire to get better.
3) They are rude and inconsiderate to her when she is trying to care for them, and their family is usually just as bad.

The ones that fall into the above categories and not paying for their healthcare are filth and worthless.

But we already knew this, didn't we? I know there are a certain percentage of people that have a medical condition with contributes to their weight. But that % is far lower than some people want you to believe.

My physical condition is my responsibility. I've lost almost 40lbs since Jan 1st by running regularly and eating smarter. Not some crazy diet, I just make better choices. I don't eat fast/junk food. I eat chicken, lots of veggies, limit my bread. I'm trying to cut out diet sodas, and I've progressed down to 1 a day (from around 5 or 6.)

You know what? I feel better. I have more energy than I have in years. I can run 5 miles regularly with no problem. I ran the CCC for the first time in my life. I'm registered to do my first half marathon this fall.

Its not some voodoo secret. I'm 32 years old and made the decision that I wanted to be in the best shape of my life by the end of the year. You are responsible for your actions.

While I do believe some people are naturally big. (Note I said big, not fat, there is a big, or should I say fat difference )

And for some people people it is a lot easier to lose weight. It is completely 100% possible to be healthy while being "big"

Oh, and for people who don't know how I differentiate between "big" and "fit". If you see someone walking(or should I say wobbling) and your first reaction is "man that person is huge they need to run a mile right now!" Then...

The way you take up for fatties makes me think you are lying about not being fat.

And what the OP is doing is called, "fat shaming", its all the rage.

I'm very happy for you and your weight loss. Great job. However, this quote I just don't understand. What do you mean "trying to cut out diet sodas"? Just stop drinking them.
