You realize what asset forfeiture is huh? I speak on that because I have some knowledge on it. The only reason that would come into play on every day random smucks like us is if we were drug dealers, traffickers, or part of some large criminal enterprise. Again if your not breaking the law in any capacity then why worry? The government won't take your shite from you if they can't link it to a criminal organization.

People have had large sums of money confiscated from them just because they had it on them. No proof of a crime committed or probable cause other than a good amount of cash on hand. It is then upon these people to prove the money is legit in order to get it back which is difficult as hell because states don’t like giving up new found funds. It’s classic guilty till proven innocent.

Who’s the head of the DNC?? Answer that question and you will have your answer. Wasserman Schultz, Brazille, etc.... not exactly private citizens.

This is a bit vague. What are "large sums"? There ARE laws regarding the amount of cash one can carry.

One of the Bill of Rights is protection against illegal searches and seizures. I dong have to be guilty of anything. The government has to have probable cause. Maybe that’s why law enforcement is so messed up if that’s their belief that we only want privacy to hide criminal activity.

You said that FB is not a public forum. How would you classify it?

At one point in my life I held a position of power in the government with access to a lot of people's information. Is it scary what can be found on us? Sure. Are our lives easily trackable? Definitely. Are there cameras on the interstate logging every vehicle that passes it's location and stores that info? Yes. All I'm saying is if your not doing anything wrong then why worry? As a community can I ask if anyone here has known anyone that has completely "disappeared"? Like just some random person doing every day things just suspiciously hauled off to dark government office hole and was never heard from again? Has their been political murders? I'm sure, and advocating its ok. But those people either had knowledge of something on someone who that someone didn't want leaked out. Again if your just living life doing you and not being a frick up in life then why worry... I'm not worried the least bit.

Correct. So show us where the government has conducted a warrantless search of your data. Keep in mind that campaign workers are not government actors and that the fourth amendment doesn't protect you from them.

Correct. Illegal search and seizure is a very complicated and can be interpreted various ways depending on what your trying to accomplish. Do I have issue with that? Yes. It needs to be more black and white and wrote out to be understood by everyday dummies for anyone to understand. People should be knowledgeable on when and where and how the government can search our lives or property or information. But again if your not the next John Gotti, Pablo, or Osama. If your not murdering. Raping, stealing candy bars. Then why worry....

How many peoples lives have been ruined because the wrong person had access? How many people don’t know they are being stalked and manipulated by an outside source who has all this data on them?

I don’t think some of you understand what it means to be free. I also don’t think some of you understand what our human rights are and from where they originate.

Did you read the first sentence of your link? Let me post it for you.

quote:

Police in Raleigh, North Carolina, have been quietly issuing warrants to Google
.

This was in response to me asking you to "show us where the government has conducted a warrantless search of your data."

It would be difficult to make up how comically lost you are here.

It's amazing how many people in this country will freely trade their liberties and freedoms for a police state, so long as they have a sense of security.

Well at that point if the money is legit and you earned it honestly wouldn't you like the fact that everything has a paper trail these days? To prove it was earned honestly?

Nothing you put on the internet is private.

I'm astonished at the amount of people that do not realize this.
