New ecoboost has stupid power. Rented a King Ranch a few weeks ago, and was blown away the power that thing had.

I got a 19 Lariat 4x4 v8 with the 501A package and some other upgrades (mine is a two tone and looks like a king ranch except for seats, tailgate, and LED headlights). It was 64 sticker. Ford kept throwing incentives my way and took a good bit off price because the truck had been on the lot for a while. with 0% and what they gave me for my old truck I couldn’t say no.

I do as well. As much as Texas is Ford country, GA seems to be Chevy/GMC country among the local redneck/cracker populace.

Traded it in on 17 Tacoma loaded. Best decision i’ve made. I pull a boat on occasion. No giant stuff.

What's the back seat look like? When I get my next truck, I'm thinking of going with the Tacoma, but I have 2 kids. Would they be squeezed in like sardines?

I have had an F-150 and a Sierra. I love the look of the Sierra, but my F-150 drove better. Also, Ford's keyless entry is underrated. No keys in pocket is worth it alone.

I just got a 2019 Tacoma after years of driving F150s and Rams.

The backseat isn’t anything like the F150’s, but it’s fine for kids.

It’s a whole lot more fun to drive the mid size truck.

Anyone who asks what truck they should buy deserves to drive this:

I don't think the Ridgeline is a bad vehicle. The mistake is comparing it to the other trucks. Ridgeline is not so much a truck as it is a modern day El Camino. As such I think its pretty good.

I'll bet it would be. I've driven a full-sized truck my whole life (starter vehicle was an extended cab, 8-ft bed, 4wd Sierra with about an 80-ft turning radius ), and I always think about how nice it would be to be able to go into a parking garage without worrying about my top scraping, being able to pull off a u-turn on a 4-lane highway, not having to park in a spot with no other vehicles to get kids out of car seats, etc.

Unless there is a big difference between the Chevy and GMC other than looks, I’d make sure to throughly test it before buying.

Here’s the 70k kick in the nuts article

F-150 has the superior cabin, NVH, and engine choices.

The GM twins can be bought cheaper.

Both are decent, but GM has been losing marketshare to Ram.

Tacoma has very little legroom in back. Even for kids. I sat in a new one. Car magazines talk bad about the Tacoma about the leg room. They say the Colorado is the best midsize truck in tests. Even better than the new ranger

You can buy a 4x4 4 door F150 for under 35k. So that all day.

I don’t know about CandD but I sat my arse in a 19’ GMC Denali for 690 miles and it was smooth as silk. Unlike my 17 that had the Chevy Shake at 80 mph.
